FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: sample of analysed substance is irradiated with monochromatic gamma- or X-ray radiation while simultaneously recording intensity of characteristic radiation and primary radiation non-coherently scattered by said sample, wherein concentration of the element is established based on an analytical parameter which takes into account the characteristic radiation background effect.
EFFECT: determining concentration of elements in samples of different chemical and material composition, having a different structure and density, without identifying phase composition, but with background pre-adjustment.
