FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel tank and to method of its production. Proposed tank has top and bottom walls and reinforcing element to connect the both. Reinforcing element comprises hollow plastic post with holes at its bottom and top. Said holes are arranged to allow the post filling and degassing. Said tank is moulded from fused plastic billet or fused plastic sheets. Moulded and cooled tank is cut to make the hole for post to be fitted there through. Post is secured to the ledge at tank inner surface, to its top and bottom walls.
EFFECT: higher stiffness.
