FIELD: reciprocating pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed reciprocating pump includes section of drive and pumping section. Drive section includes reciprocating coil unit to which control signals of alternating polarity are fed in the course of operation. Permanent magnet unit of drive section forms magnetic field which is interacted with electromagnetic magnetic formed due to application of control signals to coil winding. Depending on polarity of signals applied to coil winding, coil is set in motion in one of possible directions. Drive member transmits motion of coil to member of pump which performs reciprocating motion together with coil for suction of fluid into pump chamber and for discharge of fluid during each cycle of pump operation. Pump is suitable for cyclic use such as injection of fuel into cylinders of internal combustion engines and injection of fluid into exhaust monitoring system of internal combustion engines.
EFFECT: reduction of time required for pump cycle with no considerable increase of forces created by electrical drive members and current consumed by these members.
