FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: dispenser for recurrent release of the preset length of a continuous web of material such as paper tissues contains a supplying roller (14) with a continuous material web wound thereon and a cutting drum (20) incorporating a cutting device (24, 32). The continuous material web is brought in contact with part of the cutting drum (20). The cutting device (24, 32) contains two cutting knives (24) the cutting blades (26) whereof are designed so that to enable work between the active extended position, projecting outside the external circumferential surface of the cutting drum (20) and the non-working retracted position. Each cutting knife (24) is provided with a cam tracing element (44) engaged with the stationary cam groove (46) of the cam mechanism (40). The dispenser additionally contains a resilient means (26) designed so that to enable turning and retention of the cutting drum (26) in either individual equilibrium position.

EFFECT: increased operational reliability.
