FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: increase of the blade length at flutter resulting from the high vibration amplitude leads not only to the decrease of the radial clearance but to the contact of the blades with the inner surface of a turbomachine casing as well. Application of an abradable coating onto the inner casing of the turbomachine and monitoring of its wearing features allows for the identification of the availability or absence of blade flutter in the said mode and for the determination of the diametral wave form at which the flutter has occurred.
EFFECT: increased reliability and reduction of labour intensity of the flutter diagnostics process for turbomachine working blades.
