FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for diagnosing the contact of the impeller blades against the housing within an axial turbomachine consists in assigning approximating lower and upper limits of the permissible change in the amplitude of the spectral component of the flow static pressure pulsation without taking into account resonance and the permissible change in the amplitude of the spectral component of the housing vibration without taking into account the contact at the frequency of the blades following for the operating range of wheel speed changes. The air flow static pressure pulsation sensor and the vibration sensor are placed in the area of the impeller blades. The moment of contact between the blades of a rotating wheel and the turbomachine body is judged by a simultaneous increase in the amplitude recorded by the vibration sensor above the upper limit and a decrease in the amplitude recorded by the static pressure pulsation sensor below the lower limit of the static pressure pulsation of the air flow.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, reliability and noise immunity.
