SUBSTANCE: drying drum is designed for macadam production plants. Drying drum comprises tray connected thereto to create the flame to pass therein. Drying drum accommodates tubular shielding structure with lengthwise axis parallel with the drum major axis extending from the burner so that flame is localised inside shielding structure. Note here that separation ring is formed between said shielding structure and drum inner surface. Shielding structure comprises multiple cavities facing the drum inner surface to receive the material to be dried. Shielding structure is made of heat conducting material.
EFFECT: smaller release of toxic substances.
