FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely ophthalmology, and can be used in laser treatment of diabetic macular oedema. The whole field of diabetic macular oedema inside arcades is exposed. The exposure represents a laser light at a wavelength of 0.81 mcm, pulse length 0.2 s, and spot diameter 100 mcm. The eye ground exposure is confluent with a laser application interval of 0-1 spot diameter. The laser emission power is specified so that to provide a minimum burn on the most pigmented area of the exposed tissue 1-2 of 10 laser exposure sessions later.
EFFECT: method enables improving effects of laser treatment of the given pathology with no risk of the eye ground atrophy and reducing retinal sensitivity ensured by the higher total area of exposure by dense or confluent laser applications in subthreshold exposure parameters.
