FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing ultra-hydrophobic coatings includes depositing solutions of amphiphilic fluorotelomers. Colloidal solutions of amphiphilic fluorotelomers with molecular weight distribution of 3-15 are deposited on the surface to be protected. The amphiphilic fluorotelomers used are compounds of general formula X(CF2-CF2)nH, where n ranges from 3 to 20, X denotes hydrophilic groups. The telogens used are compounds selected from acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, formic acid, ethyl acetate, propylene oxide, epichlorohydrin and/or mixtures thereof. Deposition is followed by drying and heat treatment of the obtained coating at 100-160°C. In the coating method, solutions of different composition are deposited in layers with subsequent heat treatment of each layer.
EFFECT: method of producing an ultra-hydrophobic coating based on a property of perfluorinated oligomers with hydrophilic terminal groups - forming layers with nano-size roughness.
