SUBSTANCE: application for estimating shape and dimensions of surgical needle hole by X-ray microscopy. Essence of method lies in the following: X-ray beam of radiation from X-ray radiation generator is directed to proximal end of surgical needle, containing laser-drilled hole, image of proximal end of needle, including image of hole is obtained in digital form by means of sensor, on which X-ray radiation falls, with proximal end of needle being located between X-ray radiation generator and sensor, digital image is processed to determine deviation of hole from standard dimensions, set by specification.
EFFECT: providing possibility of estimating drilled holes under conditions of high-speed production, suitable for control of laser drilling.
