SUBSTANCE: invention relates to handling machinery. To ensure tower crane stability, crane intrinsic oscillation frequencies predefined by modal analysis are loaded into the memory of controller (1). Real time spectrum analyser is used to evaluate the frequency composition of wind and seismic effects onto metal structure. Frequencies of wind and seismic load variations are compared with the metal structure intrinsic oscillation frequencies. In case one of intrinsic oscillation frequencies approximates to one of frequencies of wind or seismic loads from resonance band antitheft grippers are actuated to vary the hook block travel so that metal structure stiffness is changed. Tower crane metal structure intrinsic frequencies of oscillation are changed.
EFFECT: higher safety.
