SUBSTANCE: invention relates to screw compressor for gas or air. Screw compressor 1 comprises drive rotor 2 and driven rotor 3 running about first and second axes O1 and O2, respectively. Rotors 2, 3 comprises engaged ledges 4 and recesses 6 and feature profiles composed by enveloping of rack profile including first curve of rack profile extending between first and second points in Cartesian co-ordinates and having the camber in positive direction of abscissa. First point is located in abscissa from origin of Cartesian co-ordinates at distance equal to the height of drive rotor tooth.
EFFECT: simple and efficient screw compressor.
