SUBSTANCE: gear wheel has active area and root area. Tooth root area normal section extends from root circle to engagement circle. Tooth profile lateral surfaces adjacent in normal section are formed in mirror plane. Mirror axis crosses root circle at tooth space bottom point. Tooth root area tooth profile lateral surfaces are shaped to tangent curve starting from relevant diameter. Tangent curve at relevant diameter changes tangentially continuously in active area of tooth profile lateral surface. Tangent curve at root circle arc changes tangentially continuously in tooth space circle arc that touches space circle at tooth space bottom point.
EFFECT: notable increase in tooth root strength.
