FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method lies in measurement of active and reactive component of leakage current for insulation, determination of dielectric loss tgδ for the product at several voltage values less than ionisation voltage but at identical temperature. According to measurement results ionisation curves are plotted before and upon impregnation and drying and quality of isolation is determined by relations of the curve coordinates, at that relation of y-coordinate of the ionisation curve upon the last impregnation and drying to y-coordinate of the initial ionisation curve before impregnation and drying shall be equal to 1.5 at least.
EFFECT: improvement in quality control of insulation at impregnation and drying during manufacture or repair of electrical products.
