SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used in prospecting in a water environment. The system comprises one or more autonomous underwater vehicles connected into a system, each having one or more autonomous sea acoustic sources with self-propelled striker pistons. The system is capable of using both conventional and non-conventional sea seismic sources. The non-conventional sea seismic source disclosed herein can release a high- intensity pressure wave generated by a system of two striker pistons, which does not consume air when operating since it does not disperse air or another gas in water and does not create changes in the weight of the vehicle during its operation and allows the amplitude of vibrations and duration of the sound wave emitted and characteristics of the emission spectrum to be controlled.
EFFECT: high accuracy of exploration data.
