FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method of protection against fire on peatbogs consists in creation of a solid obstructive bridge in soil for depth of peat deposit. The obstructive bridge is created through arrangement of vertical piles in the peat deposit in a flexible fabric shell with filling of the shell by a prepared mineral soil containing natural clayey mineral that may swell during hydration, for instance, bentonite. For hydration they use atmospheric precipitation, as well as water from snow melting at peatbogs. The diameter of the flexible fabric shell is selected on the basis of increased volume of bentonite after hydration. The distance between piles and their mutual arrangement is chosen so that during swelling of bentonite the flexible fabric shells of vertical piles touch each other and form a solid bridge.
