METHOD FOR OVERLAPPING DISCHARGE COLLECTOR BY MEANS OF FLOODING CUTOVER PEAT AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A62C3/02

Abstract RU 2673370 C1

FIELD: land reclamation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the extraction of peat, specifically to restoration of peat bogs and, in particular to the watering of developed peatlands. Watering of developed peatlands is a constructive scheme, including catchment area 1 of peatlands with a source of water accumulated as a result of rainfall, melting snow and flood waters. Excess water should flow into waste manifold 3 through overflow threshold 2. Waste collector 3 includes placed guide element 5, made in the form of a dam, completely covering the channel of waste collector 3 and partially entering created container 4, dividing it into two parts: narrowed guide channel 6 and additional capacity 7. In additional tank 7, a barrier device is installed, which consists of several sections formed by dividing partitions 8 installed over the entire depth of container 4, and retention elements are placed in the form of floats 9 between the partitions, which are partially submerged in water. Narrowed flow guide channel 6 is a retaining structure in the direction of the upstream side of discharge channel 3, and also provides backwater in the direction of developed peatland 1 filled with water to maintain simultaneously a given water level in it, but excess water is discharged from it. Guide element 5 is placed parallel to the side wall of container 4. Further, the dimensions of the supporting structure and component parts are generally determined on the basis of the calculation of hydraulics. Consequently, the length of the regulated section of waste collector 3, wedging into the retaining structure, is carried out in the form of a blocking structure in relation to the catchment area of the developed peatland. Waste flow is then directed to the downstream of waste collector 3, and in the developed peatland the specified water level is maintained in automatic mode and provides control of this flow for the developed peatland.

EFFECT: invention provides for the accumulation and maintenance of water within the boundaries of the developed peatlands, providing control and flexibility of the system of irrigation of the developed peatlands for the renewal of wetlands, and improves the ecological situation.
