FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a roll-type membrane filter element for treating liquid media and a method of making same. The roll-type membrane filter element for water treatment in household conditions is characterised by that it has a centre tube with radial openings on the length thereof, on which a membrane stack is spirally wound, said stack consisting of a two-ply semi-permeable polymer membrane with an outer selective layer and a drainage fabric for a filtrate collection and removal channel, a vortex grid for the purified water channel, wherein the grid is in form of at least three series-arranged sections of different thickness. A section of the grid with the greatest thickness is placed on the outer surface of the membrane filter element at the purified water inlet, and the section with the least thickness is placed near the centre tube at the concentrate outlet, wherein the ratio of the thickness thereof is in the range of 2.0/1.0-2.5/1.0. The edge of the section of the vortex grid adjacent to the centre tube is wrapped on two sides by a strip of the drainage fabric with grooves in parallel to the tube by a value L=πd, where d is the outer diameter of the tube, and forms an annular channel around the tube for outlet of the concentrate, wherein said channels and ends of the membrane filter element are sealed from each other. Furthermore, the membrane filter element is wrapped in a polymer film having, in the area of inlet of purified water into the membrane element, a row of openings on its entire length, wherein the purified water inlet is made through the outer surface of the membrane filter element, and the concentrate and filtrate outlet is made through the centre tube.

EFFECT: simple technique of making the membrane element, easy operation and replacement with high conversion ratio.
