SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to hybrid vehicle and method of its control. The hybrid vehicle includes internal combustion engine, electric generator, accumulator battery, power transfer connection/disconnection unit, unit for changing electric transfer to mechanical transfer ratio of internal combustion engine output, connection/disconnection control unit, required output calculation unit, internal combustion engine control unit. Method of control includes calculation of required output necessary for hybrid vehicle. When calculated required output exceeds sum of electric motor output and internal combustion engine output the electric transfer to mechanical transfer ratio of internal combustion engine output is increased. Connection/disconnection unit disconnects at the moment when mechanically transferred output value of internal combustion engine becomes equal to zero when connection/disconnection unit is connected. Internal combustion engine is controlled so that it remains on line of optimal fuel consumption index. Electric motor is controlled so that it outputs value which represents missing portion of internal combustion engine output value.

EFFECT: providing required output value for vehicle movement.
