SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of use of solar energy, in particular to devices of converting the energy of light radiation into heat, and is intended to produce hot water for domestic use from the solar radiation. The solar water heater comprises a collector of solar heater, a storage tank with heat-insulation and pipes supplying cold water and discharging hot water. In the housing of the storage tank, a heat exchanger tank is located with the heat exchanging tubes and the high pressure tanks mounted in its end faces. The lower surface of the heat exchanger tank is the heat-receiving surface of direct heating. The storage tank is equipped with a system of topping-up the evaporating water.

EFFECT: avoiding the presence of the pumping station with circulation pumps for normal functioning of the solar water heater, which leads to increased efficiency.
