FIELD: solar engineering
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of solar engineering, namely to low-temperature solar collectors, and can be used in heating and air conditioning systems in premises. The solar collector contains a closed shell consisting of a round central surface and a side cylindrical surface connected to it, made of a transparent single-layer or multi-layer material, the base is made of a heat-insulating material, a metal sponge is located inside the closed shell, a pipe for removing hot coolant is located in the center of the round central surface. The heated coolant, such as air, is fed into a closed shell of the solar collector filled with a metal sponge. The sun rays, penetrating through the transparent central and side surfaces, are absorbed by a metal sponge made of thin metal threads, and heat the coolant (air) in the channels of the sponge. The heated coolant flows through channels in the metal sponge into a pipe located in the center and is then supplied to consumers.
EFFECT: solar collector is characterized by simplicity of design, economy, has a greater absorption capacity of sunlight in a metal sponge, regardless of the position of the Sun, reduces energy consumption for pumps and material consumption.
