FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detector (23) of flaws in tested specimen (13) displaced relative to proposed device at contactless and non-destructive control. Note here that transmitting coils (18) magnetise the specimen by alternating variable electromagnetic fields. Receiving coils (15) register alternate electric signal including carrier oscillation. Note here that flaw in controlled specimen detected by receiving coils, is facilitates generation of particular signal amplitude and/or phase. Cascade of ADCs digitises the receiving coil signal. Signal processor (17, 19, 35, 37, 52, 60, 68, 74, 76, 78, 80, 88, 90, 94) generates wanted signal from receiving coil digitised signal. Results processor unit (60, 50, 64) processes wanted signal to reveal the flaw in controlled specimen. In compliance with this invention, signal processor control the receiving coil digitised signal curve shape to cause overmodulation of said ADC cascade. Receiving coil digitised signal is mathematically approximated to recover the signal part chopped by said cascade.

EFFECT: expanded range of measurements, higher localisation of errors.
