FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for registration of defects in a controlled sample, which is moved relative to the proposed device, in process of non-destructive and contactless control, which has a block of transmitting coils, comprising at least one transmitting coil designed to magnetise the controlled sample with periodic alternating electromagnetic fields, a block of catching coils, comprising at least one catching coil designed to record a periodic electric signal containing a bearing oscillation, at the same time when the defect is recorded with catching coils, availability of the defect in the controlled sample helps to generate a specific amplitude and/or phase of a signal, a block of signal processing, designed to generate a useful signal from the signal of the catching coil, and a block of results processing designed to process the useful signal with the purpose to detect defects in the controlled sample. In the device there is a self-testing block, which is designed to realise automatically or at the external request systematic quantitative control of functions of processing of signals of the signal processing block and/or systematic quantitative control of transmitting coils and/or catching coils and/or for realisation at the external request of calibration of the unit of signal processing by means of a calibration template installed in place of transmitting and/or catching coils.

EFFECT: invention provides for high reliability of inspection results, since there is possibility of accurate detection of faults in certain electronic components of a device.
