FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for monitoring disconnection and failure of automatic reset of the main switch of a line supplying a transformer substation, with a self-eliminating double-phase short circuit. The method comprises, from the moment of disappearance of one of the line voltages at transformer busbars, beginning a first time countdown equal to the delay time of triggering of the protection of the main switch, while monitoring the time of disappearance of two other line voltages and, if at the end of the first time countdown two other line voltages disappear, concluding the disconnection of the main switch; from the end of the first time countdown, beginning a second time countdown equal to the delay time of the automatic reset plus the delay time of protection triggering with acceleration of the main switch, and to all wires of the line sending probing pulses and measuring the time of travel to points of reflection; calculating the distance to said points; comparing said distances with each other and with the distance to the point of installation of the main switch and, if the calculated distances are equal to each other and to the distance to the point of installation of the main switch, and at the end of the second time countdown all three line voltages at the transformer busbars have not appeared, concluding a self-eliminating double-phase short circuit and failure of automatic reset in the main switch of the line.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities by obtaining information about disconnection and failure of automatic reset of the main switch with a self-eliminating double-phase short circuit.
