METHOD TO MONITOR DISCONNECTION AND FAILURE OF AUTOMATIC RECLOSING OF HEAD CIRCUIT BREAKER ON LINE SUPPLYING TRANSFORMER SUBSTATION, UNDER UNSTABLE SHORT CIRCUIT Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC H02H3/04

Abstract RU 2503108 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to monitor disconnection and failure of automatic reclosing (ARC) of a head circuit breaker (HCB) of a line supplying a transformer substation, under an unstable short circuit (SC). From the moment of voltage loss on a transformer the HCB ARC delay time count is started, and a probing pulse is sent into a line, time is measured, during which it will reach the reflection point, the distance to this point is calculated and compared with the distance to the HCB, and if the calculated distance is equal to the distance to the HCB, the conclusion is made on its disconnection, upon completion of time count and absence of voltage on the transformer a probing pulse is again sent into the line, the time is measured, during which it will get to the reflection point, the distance is calculated to this point and compared to the distance to the HCB, and if again the calculated distance is equal to the distance to the HCB, then the conclusion is made on the failure of the HCB ARC in the line that supplies to the transformer substation. Therefore the proposed method makes it possible to get information on disconnection and failure of the HCB ARC on the line supplying to the transformer substation, under an unstable short circuit.

EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities by means of information production on disconnection and failure of an HCB ARC in a line supplying to a transformer substation, under an unstable short circuit.
