The result is achieved due to that the image capturing device comprises an image capturing unit configured to capture an image of an object through an optical system; a display unit configured to display an image captured by the image capturing unit on a screen; a determination unit configured to simultaneously determine a plurality of touch positions on the screen where an image is displayed; and a control unit configured to smoothly adjust the focusing state in accordance with change in distance between a first determined touch position and a second determined touch position in order to change the focusing area.
