SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport engineering. The engine hood of the propelled agricultural harvesting machine comprises one closing element in the form of a closing grate, a chamber of preliminary air cleaning, the engine air filter, and means of tilting the hood. The chamber of preliminary air cleaning is combined with the hood. This integrated assembly is pivotally mounted on the harvesting machine with the ability of tilting. The closing element and the chamber of preliminary air cleaning in the locked position of the hood are located in a horizontal plane above the engine compartment of the harvesting machine. The said plane is located below the upper side of the grain hopper. The self-propelled agricultural harvesting machine comprises an internal combustion engine in the engine compartment and the said engine hood closing the engine compartment from above.
EFFECT: improvement of preliminary cleaning is achieved, and continuous supply of air to the engine is ensured.
