FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method is claimed for scouring and removing of bottom deposits from steel vertical tanks with oil or oil products by means of the stationary scouring system consisting of piping equipped with scouring nozzles; the method envisages filling of the tank with oil up to the level ensuring safety operation of the scouring system and scouring of bottom deposits by means of oil delivery through the system nozzles with pumping out of scoured bottom deposits mixed with oil from the tank. At that minimum oil level for safe operation before filling of the tank through the scouring system is set within the range of 2-3 m, while oil flow rate at filling through the system shall not exceed 200 m3/h.
EFFECT: improvement of the method.
