SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring the eye length, a curvature radius of an anterior corneal surface, a corneal refraction and an intraocular lens constant A. An echodensity of the vitreous body is additionally measured, while the optical power of the intraocular lens is determined by formula: D I O L = 1336 ( 1336 L 333 R ) ( L p ) ( 1336 p 333 R ) , wherein DIOL is the optical power of the intraocular lens, dioptre; L is the eye length, mm; 333/R is the standardised corneal refraction, dioptre; R is the curvature radius of the anterior corneal surface, mm; p is a distance of an anterior surface of the intraocular lens and the corneal apex (mm), determined by formula: p = R з R з 2 ( d 1,82 ) 2 4 + 0,62467  A-71 ,433-0 ,97 e -0 ,82 I , R3 is the curvature radius of the posterior corneal surface, mm; A is the intraocular lens constant; I is the echodensity of the vitreous body, MG; d is the corneal diameter, mm.

EFFECT: using the given invention enables providing more accurate measurement of the optical power of the intracapsular intraocular lens implanted into the avitreal eye.
