FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying Holladay formula. Corneal segment diameter is first calculated in cases of eyes having unproportional corneal segment diameters. Then, cornea diameter is calculated from white to white. 1 mm is added to the value. If its deviation is greater than 0.1 mm when compared to calculated value, corneal segment height is calculated from formula , where ACD1 is corneal segment height in mm, R is anterior cornea surface curvature radius in mm, Dp is the cornea diameter is calculated from white to white in mm. The obtained height value is introduced into Holladay formula and focal power of intraocular lens is determined.
EFFECT: high accuracy in determining focal power of intraocular lens.
