FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by generating broadband signals with direct (indirect) spectrum spreading by using as pulsed information signal envelopes band-limited functions which approximate at one or more intervals, lying within a pulse, oscillations with frequency higher than the cut-off frequency of the spectrum of the modulated pulse overall (frequency emission). Parameter values of said oscillations are brought into conformity with the information-bearing feature of the signal to be transmitted. At the receiving side, the disclosed result is achieved by selecting an interval with frequency emission, with subsequent determination of oscillation parameters at said interval and making a decision on the value of the information-bearing feature in the received modulated signal, after processing the received mixture of the signal and noise in the frequency band of the modulated band-limited signal.

EFFECT: enabling transceiving of discrete information at low signal-to-noise values, at high values of spectral efficiency of broadband signals.
