FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for transceiving discrete information signals and can be used in communications, location, telemetry, telephony. On the transmitting side, each information symbol is mapped to a sequence of periodic perturbations of the physical medium, transmitted through the propagation medium directly or used as a modulating signal. Transmission is carried out in the frequency band of the information signal. On the receiving side, after carrying out the necessary processing of the received signal-noise mixture (SNM), in the frequency band of the information signal, the SNM is divided into sections with a length equal to the length of the symbols, at a pitch equal to the sampling period of the SNM. Obtained sections of the SNM are subjected to an evaluation of their pseudospectrum using the MUSIC method, which consists in the analysis of eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the correlation (covariance) matrix, composed of SNM samples, and upon detection at the spectral region, corresponding to a certain information signal, pseudospectral peak, a decision is made about the presence on this section of the transmitted information signal.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the efficiency of using the signal energy and the frequency resource of the discrete information conversion channel.
