FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to downhole valve applications and can be used in lubrication devices. The valve is mounted in the pipe string and features a sphere rotating about its axis and located in a cage, where the sealing for flows towards downhole and wellhead is provisioned. The cage interacts with a slide, which engages the ball eccentrically to rotate it between the open and close positions. The sleeve is mechanically made to move in opposed directions by the wireline shifting tool. Differential pressure on a closed ball does not affect the actuation piston because of balanced pressure across the actuating piston, therefore the pressure differential across the closed ball is retained.
EFFECT: stop valve allows the actuation piston to be in pressure balance as the ball stays closed.
