FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a channel with two capacities, and the channel is designed to transport the packages in the longitudinal direction. The first capacity has a first degree of sterilisation, and means for insertion of gas, and the second has the second degree of sterilisation and means for evacuating the gas. The first and second capacities meet in a connecting area extending in its longitudinal direction in the area of Venturi - a part of the channel having a reduced cross-section. In the method, the gas stream is directed from the first capacity to the second through the Venturi area - a part of the channel having a reduced cross-section, in which the capacities meet.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides simplification, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
