FIELD: sterilization of partly formed packages.

SUBSTANCE: device for package sterilization in packing machine comprises inner chamber and outer chamber. Inner chamber is provided with sterilization unit to sterilize said partly formed package interior. Device additionally has bearing unit comprising one separation member and one package carrying member. Bearing member may rotate between the first position and the second position. In the first position said package carrying member is arranged in outer chamber and may return and receive package and said one separation member separates inner chamber from outer one. In the second position bearing unit is turned and convey package into inner chamber and separation member separates inner chamber from outer one. Device also has means, which provide mutual displacement of package and sterilizing unit to bring them into position in which sterilizing unit at least partly installed in package for package treatment. Sterilization method involves providing inner and outer chambers; arranging sterilizing unit inside inner chamber to sterilize package interior; providing bearing unit including separation member and package carrying member; causing bearing unit rotation between the first and the second positions to provide mutual package and sterilizing unit displacement.

EFFECT: decreased radiation outside device.
