FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: method maintains the barrier of gas flow between two capacities of the channel used for transporting the packages. The capacities comprise a first capacity having a first degree of sterilisation and the gas injection means, and a second capacity having a second degree of sterilisation and means for discharging gas. The capacities are in contact at the surface area of the section extending along the channel. At that the divergent jet streams supplied from the gas injection means interact at the surface area of the section for creation of a unidirectional flow in the direction from the first capacity to the second capacity, forming the barrier. The device for implementing the method, in addition to the above mentioned features, is characterised by the fact that in it the gas injection means injects the turbulent divergent jet streams directed to the surface area of the section.
