FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of iron by direct reduction. Device comprises natural gas reforming plant incorporating internal heating circuit. Note here that steam and oxygen are added to natural gas while natural gas is partially combustion for production of reducing gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide to get iron by direct reduction. It comprises the furnace for iron production by direct reduction from stock including iron oxide with the help of reducing gas. It includes device for removal carbon dioxide from offgas at aforesaid furnace at iron production by direction reduction with gas production wherefrom carbon dioxide is removed. Offgas recirculating line to circulate gas wherefrom carbon dioxide is removed to aforesaid furnace at iron production by direction reduction with gas production as reducing gas. Heat exchanger is used to increase the temperature of gas wherefrom carbon dioxide is removed to 400-700°C by offgas higher efficiency of the use of power.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of power application.
