FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: semiconductor laser driver 1 is designed with a possibility of connecting to its optical fibre output 2, and contains a regulated current source 3, control unit 4, current sensor 5 and laser radiation power sensor 6 of the laser 1. Meanwhile the output 6 of the power sensor 1 is connected to the first input of the control unit 4, to the optical input 6 of the power sensor 1, the first optical output of the laser 1 is connected, to the second optical output of the laser 1 the optical fibre 2 is connected, the output of the regulated current source 3 is connected to the electrical input of the laser 1 and to the input of the current sensor 5, the output of which is connected to the second input of the control unit 4, the output of which is connected to the input of the regulated current source 3. Additionally it includes infrared photodiode 7, the sensitivity spectrum of which does not overlap the wavelength of radiation of the laser 1, amplifier-convertor 8 of the current from infrared photodiode 7 and signal processing and data transmission unit 9. Meanwhile the optical fibre 2 is designed with the branch 10, the output of which is connected to the input of the infrared photodiode 7, which exit is connected to an input of the amplifier - transformer 8 currents of the infrared photodiode 7, the output of which is connected to the input of the signal processing and data transmission unit 9, and to the third input of the control unit 4.
EFFECT: possibility of monitoring and maintaining the specified level of temperature of end face of the working optical fibre.
