FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to part from thermo-structural composite with at least one section of smaller thickness. It can be used in aircraft and aerospace engineering, for example, in housings of gas turbines or nozzle diffusers. This part is mad of material including fibrous carcass from ceramic or carbon fibres packed with matrix. Note here that part thickness is smaller than 2 mm and even smaller than 1 mm. Fibrous carcass is composed of single depth of sandwiched cloth composed by distributed threads with eight number equal to at least 200 tex. Volume fraction of fibres makes 25-45% while relationship between the number of sandwiched cloth layers and part thickness in millimetres makes at least 4.
EFFECT: composite material of required mechanical properties for small-sized parts.
