SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bullet resistant articles Bullet resistant moulded article contains pressed pack of sheets, containing reinforcing elongated bodies, in which at least part of elongated bodies are polyethylene elongated bodies, which have weight average molecular weight at least 100000 g/mol and ratio Mw/Mn not larger than 6 Polyethylene elongated bodies preferably have weight-average molecular weight at least 300000 g/mol, more exactly at least 400000 g/mol and still more exactly at least 500000 g/mol If polyethylene elongated bodies are tapes, their parameter of orientation 200/110 in one plane equals at least 3, and, if polyethylene elongated bodies are fibres, their parameter of orientation 020 in one plane equals not more than 55°.
EFFECT: increase of protective characteristics, reduction of weight and improvement of article stability are achieved.
