FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to distribution of the chosen content, and namely to a content localisation method and to a content delivery network node. A service request sent by a functional service control object or a functional IP-television service control object is received by the first content delivery network node. Service request contains a content identifier used to point at the requested content corresponding to the specified content identifier. In case the first content delivery network node is not able to provide content service requested in compliance with service request, the first content delivery network node sends information request to a global controller of content delivery network in order to obtain information on the second content delivery network node that is able to provide the requested service content as per service request and asks the second content delivery network node to provide content service.

EFFECT: technical result consists in load reduction of a global content delivery network controller, reduction of time for content delivery network processing.
