SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method or protecting goods from forgery. A unique identifier is deposited on the surface of an object or packaging thereof or inside said object. The identifier is registered in a database at a verification centre, to which information on the unique identifier, obtained from the object or packaging thereof, is transmitted in the future. A response on the authenticity or forgery of the object is then received from the verification centre. The number of requests relating to a specific object is registered at the verification centre, wherein coordinates of the geographic points from which the request came are recorded during each request. Authenticity or forgery of an object is determined depending on the number of previous requests and the match or mismatch of coordinates of geographic points of the current and previous requests.
