FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus is in form of a self-adhesive label consisting of an information part and a base, joined to each other by an adhesive layer which is applied on the inner surface of the information part which is made from transparent or semitransparent material. The information part is made from material which contains randomly lying visible particles, having a different shape and/or colour and/or optical density and/or random static arrangement, and is a label with a defined set and arrangement of visible particles, digitised and converted into a numerical code, the image of which, along with information on the commodity and the electronic digital signature of the image of said label and information on the commodity converted to a numerical code and a means of checking the electronic digital signature, is formed after conversion from digital form to a means for identifying the commodity. The apparatus also has an intermediate control layer with an adhesive coating on the inner surface, lying between the base and the information part. Different areas of the adhesive layers of the information part and the control layer have different adhesiveness.

EFFECT: high reliability and efficiency of protecting a commodity from counterfeit by preventing repeated use of the apparatus.
