FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of a infrared source, a solid body and a solid body cooling system operating through ventilation holes on the cover of the device and a perforated partition wall. The infrared source applies contactless thermal action on the front surface of the solid body. Temperature of the solid body is recorded by thermal transducers during the heating period. Thermal flux density is recorded by a thermal flux density transducer. The thermal diffusivity of the solid body is determined from results of constructing a temperature field of the solid body during the heating period and a differential equation of thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the solid body is determined during stationary thermal conditions of the solid body from the thermal flux density value, temperature values on the front and back surfaces of the solid body and the thermal conductivity equation for a flat wall in stationary thermal conditions. The specific heat-capacity (volume, mass) of the solid body is determined by calculation using the determined thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity coefficients.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining basic thermophysical properties of a solid body.
