FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal physics and can be used to specify radiation characteristics of surfaces and coatings of solid bodies. According to the proposed method of emissivity factor identification the temperature change rate and temperature of coated samples are measured. The samples are made as two identical plates with identical coatings and a heater is installed in the cavity between these parallel coatings with the plates turned outside. The samples are set into an air environment and heated under the constant heater output. At the linear heating section from the temperature Tc to the temperature T the samples' heating rate b0 is measured. The emissivity factor of the tested samples ε, overheating at the end of the linear heating section ϑ1 and length of the section τ1 are defined according to the relevant analytic expressions. Additionally another version of the proposed method implementation implies that the calculations under the stated dependences for τ1, ϑ1, ε are carried out sequentially by iterative procedure until convergence by ε at specified value k is reached for the parameters defined within the respective linear sections of the samples' temperature measurement. A device for the implementation of the above method is proposed as well.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of emissivity factor determination.
