SUBSTANCE: invention relates to energy transmission equipment. The invention proposes a method for the detection of a receiver (214) with a transmitter and the transmitter for the detection of the receiver. The transmitter is intended for inductive transmission of energy to the receiver (214). The transmitter contains the first transmitting coil as the first electrode (204) and the second electrode (206). The first electrode (204) and the second electrode (206) form a capacitor (202). The method involves stages for the application of voltage (216) to any of the electrodes (204, 206) and detection of a capacity variation of the capacitor (202).
