FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: folding container (10) which comprises a base (12), two ends (14, 16) and one or two walls (18). Two pairs of guide formations for the lifting element (24) are connected to the base (12). The ends are made with the ability to move relative to the base between the assembled state in which they go upward from the opposite ends of the base (12) and a folded state in which they are arranged substantially parallel to the base (12). The ends (14, 16) have the width less than the spacing between the guide formations for the lifting element (24) in a pair, so that when two or more containers are stacked, in their folded state, the ends (14, 16) of one container (10) are located between the guide formations for the lifting element (24) of the container (10) located immediately above the said one container in the stack.
