FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: electrotechnical grain-oriented steel sheet is designed which can maintain low value of losses in the core assembled as the actual transformer, and has the excellent characteristics of losses in the core of the operating transformer, in which the thickness (mcm) of the film a1 of insulating coating at the bottom of linear grooves, the thickness (mcm) of the film a2 of insulating coating at the surface of the steel sheet in the parts differing from linear grooves, and the depth (mcm) a3 of linear grooves are adjusted so that they comply with the relations: 0.3 mcm ≤ a2 ≤3.5 mcm and a2+a3-a1≤15 mcm.
EFFECT: improvement of quality.
