SUBSTANCE: invention is related to materials for transformer cores. A regular grain-oriented steel sheet produced by slabbing includes a forsterite film and a coating that creates stress at the steel sheet surface, and grooves to modify a magnetic domain at the steel sheet surface. The thickness of the forsterite film in the lower part of the grove is 0.3 mcm or more, the frequency of grooves distribution is 20% or less, at that under each groove directly there is a crystal grain oriented with a deviation from the Goss orientation per 10° or more and a size of a grain of 5 mcm or more. Total stress A created by the forsterite film and coating that creates stress at the steel sheet in the rolling direction is equal to 10.0 MPa or more and total stress B created by the forsterite film and coating that creates stress at the steel sheet in the direction perpendicular to the rolling direction is equal to 5.0 MPa or more and meet the ratio 1.0≤A/B≤5.0.
EFFECT: reduction of iron loss at assembly of the transformer core.
