METHOD TO MANUFACTURE WOODEN PAVING SLABS Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC E01C5/14 

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, in particular, to manufacturing of wooden paving slabs. Bold timber is bucked for a certain length and diameter and delivered to a disc saw bench (1). A finished log (2) of bold timber is installed into a centre holder (3) and a dividing head (4), with the help of which they set the end (5) of the log for a certain degree. Then the log is processed on the disc saw bench longitudinally with the help of the dividing head at certain degrees. The produced multihedral pillar is exposed to transverse sawing with a certain pitch, and blanks of a certain height are produced, equal to the sawing pitch. Further every blank is trimmed. Afterwards all the blanks are polished, laid onto racks and dried in a ventilated room without use of heating devices. Then the blanks are placed into an autoclave, where vacuum is created of (-0.6)-(-0.8) atm., and maintained for 0.5-1.5 hr. Then the autoclave is filled with an impregnation solution for antiseptic treatment, pressure of 1.0-1.5 atm is developed, and the blanks are maintained for 1.0-1.5 hr. Then the processed blanks are taken out from the autoclave and laid onto the racks for additional drying.

EFFECT: improved quality, moisture resistance, durability and environmental purity of the produced items.
